Pet Boarding Prices (Effective May 17, 2018):

Canine: $40.00 (Per dog, per day)

Feline: $32.00 (Per cat, per day)

Customized Hours

Closed Date Charge

We are closed on Tuesdays and a few scheduled dates throughout the year. Please refer to our Schedule page for a full list of our hours and scheduled closed dated. In order to arrange a drop-off or pick up on a day we are closed, we require a minimum of 72 hours notice to open and the Closed Date Charge will be applied.

Closed Date Charge: $100.

Emergencies: If we can help, we will wave the 72-hour notice—however, the closed date charge will apply.

After Hours Fees

Weekdays after 4:00 pm: $100.00

Saturdays after 12:00 noon: $100.00

Any after hours needed must be agreed and approved by AdneyhausKennels. We cater to our clients’ needs and are 100% dedicated to the top of the line care for our fur friends.

Cancellation Policy

Holidays: 72-hour notice.

$100.00 fee will be billed or added to the next board stay.

Early termination of scheduled reservation dates will be billed at requested board dates. We have to decline other boarders, due to limited space for guests. We do not overbook and put dogs in cages. Planning makes everybody happy.

Please be aware that our fees apply to both full and partial days. We accept cash and checks.

Medical Training

Donna has managed a large veterinary clinic for five years. As a trusted employee, Donna was tasked with personally caring for and even home-boarding frantic, frightened, or anxious pets.

Using her medical training, Donna observes each guest and reports any medical issues. This way they can follow-up with a veterinary visit.

Donna has training in Eastern, holistic, and traditional Western medicine. She offers clients massage therapy, aromatherapy, and nutrition counseling.

Dog Training

Donna trained dogs with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department using Schutzhund training. She helped the department train obedient dogs to work as protection animals.

Competiton

Donna bred champion German shepherds and was internationally known for the quality of her dogs. Donna bred CH Adneyhaus AnimalCareinShelby Black MT. Dakota, Alabama’s first best-in-show German shepherd. View her show accomplishments here.

Animal Advocate

Donna volunteered with the Humane Society of America as an emergency infant care volunteer. She works with a variety of canine rescue organizations in emergency infant care, infant socialization, rehabilitation for traumatized and abused dogs, and special-needs care. Adneyhaus rescue history includes dogs, cats, and horses.

We care for all phases of life, offering sustaining care and nutrition to expectant mothers, birthing care, and care to weak or orphaned animals. Donna works to rehabilitate and re-train animals with negative human experiences in preparation for new homes and a better life.

Appointment Only Arrangements

Drop-offs, pick-ups, and tours are strictly by appointment only. For the safety of our animals, gates are always locked unless we are expecting guests. In addition, we arrange playtime and medical treatments when no guests are coming or going. This structure keeps our guests calm and serene. Storms and Dangerous Weather

We are always in attendance during severe weather and will never leave your pet to brave the elements alone. Our facility is constructed of reinforced concrete block. And our roof is a commercial-grade, bolted, metal roof. We do everything humanly possible to keep your pet safe. Adneyhausprivatekennels was the sanctuary-shelter of choice for many pet parents during Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Charlie.

Flash Floods

Adneyhaus is also safe from flash flooding. The location is on high ground with excellent drainage, so you never have to worry about unsanitary conditions created by flooding.

Winter Storms

As you know, in Alabama, winter storms sometimes cause power outages. Without gas heat, many residents are subject to unsafe temperatures. At Adneyhaus, we use gas heat so that our guests are never left in the cold.
